320 Final: Microscene!

For our final, we were tasked to make a scene with 10 props. We also had to use one of the main assets from our previous 3 projects for the centerpiece. I chose the hippie van, as it was by far some of my best texturing work I had done up to this point. Here is the picture of the VW bus I had textured earlier.

Because I got to reuse a asset for the centerpiece, a lot of work was cut out for me. I decided for he scene itself I wanted to do something really outside the box. I was like "what if I take a vaporwave retro art style, and make that the hdri?". The plan was to pretty much making a floating island with the van and 5 other props. Then have the island be floating in a purple vaporwave dimension, with  the other 5 props floating around the atmosphere.

This actually went surprisingly well.

I was incredibly happy with my work. The majority of my time I actually spent UVing, and half of that time was just spent on the overly complicated flowers I made.

Though happy with my work, I was not happy with my work ethic. During my presentation I lied and said it took me 16 hours to make. I actually did the entire project in 6 hours. This was because of how incredibly poorly I had managed my time. The fact that I got a 97% on a 4 week project I did in 6 hours made me happy of the product I was able to create in such a short time span of course, but also made me really realize how much I need to get my schedule back on track.
